I am the author of The Write Thing, Witches of the Deep South, and my newest novel, Where He Lay Down (available 4/22/17).
I am the host of the web show Win(e)ding Down with Anthony. I also serve as the executive producer, head writer, and star of the forthcoming sitcom The Anthony Project. Additionally, I’m the publisher and CEO of Black Magic Media, a small press and production company.
I serve as a chairman for Pride Houston and am currently a student at Full Sail University, where I am finishing my BFA in Creative Writing. I hosted the American Writers and Writing Programs offsite event Yas Queen: Out of the Margins, a reading event for LGBT, POC, and women writers. I can be seen singing in bars on karaoke nights, where he I am probably also getting drunk. I write from my home in Houston.

A part of me — not my ass, particularly — would normally find this sort of chauvinism deplorable. Still, somewhere between traumatizing-sexual-encounter and needing-attention-from-men my indignation evaporates.
When I raise my head, everything around me looks different. The bar is darker, the faces of my friends are unsmiling. And I’ve made the decision to see what it is about Grindr that keeps everyone so stuck to their phones.
