About Emily

When I was 7 years old, my first poem, an ode to dolphins, was published in the county newspaper. This seemed to seal my fate: I was going to be a writer, and no one would be able to convince me differently.

After studying creative writing with a concentration in Fiction at Johns Hopkins University, I swiftly realized that my degree would have to be used, well, creatively. I spent four years working in music journalism in Nashville.

Now living in Los Angeles, I am excited to have the opportunity to merge my love for music and writing at Popularium.
