Accord Wars Trial #8 Recap

Accord Wars Trial #8 was a showdown. The Alusian Pathfinders walked away as the overall victors but only by the slimmest of margins, as the Sovereign Warriors kept the pressure on from start to finish. This one came down to the final pods, final shards, and final KOs.

Round 1

Right out the gate, it was clear this Trial was going to be Pathfinders vs. Warriors. Every win condition in every pod fell to one of those two Accords.

The spotlight of the round belonged to Pod B and Pod C, where Wildling and Wheeto (Sovereign Warriors) opened the day with triple victories, immediately putting the Warriors in command.

The Pathfinders answered back with clutch wins from Cephalon, Grackle, and Gauldar, keeping pace. But it was MadJack’s Shardmaster win in Pod A that ultimately secured the Round 1 advantage for the Warriors.

Round 2

The Pathfinders struck back hard.

  • Gauldar and Grackle both took double win conditions in their pods.

  • Cephalon locked down Shardmaster with a 43-shard run in Pod A.

The Warriors stayed right in the chase, with MadJack and Wildling combining for three win conditions to keep the score tight.

But this round’s headline belonged to the Cunning Champions:

Sarise erupted in Pod C with 4 KOs, 16 shards, and surviving to Round 19, earning a triple victory and reigniting the Champs’ momentum.

Round 3 — The Decider

This is where everything turned.

  • In Pod A, Gauldar narrowly missed Brawlmaster, but secured a Survivalist win with 2 KOs and 20 rounds lived.

  • In Pod B, Grackle delivered a clutch triple:
22 shards · 3 KOs · 24 rounds survived, pushing the Pathfinders ahead when it mattered.

The Warriors fought to the last hits:

  • In Pod C, Macky (Cunning Champs) stole Shardmaster by 1 shard, just before MrThrifty secured his 4th KO for a double win con, denying a Warriors triple.

  • In Pod D, Wildling landed another double, falling only 200 damage short of Brawlmaster.

The Warriors were right there. Inches away.

Final Score

Accord Points
Alusian Pathfinders 2137
Sovereign Warriors 2037

A 100-point difference.
Meaning: just one more win condition from the Warriors, even just 20 more damage taken in one pod to win a Survivalist Win Con would have forced a sudden-death OT Trial.

But not this time.

Result

The Alusian Pathfinders rise victorious. The Warriors nearly stole it. And everyone felt the pressure.

This one will be remembered.
