Dear High Regent Dusana,

It is with some trepidation that I write to you these many years after our successful campaign together on the Soroghast world. But it is also my hope that I may call in the favor of saving your beautiful skull and helmet from falling under a Tsallis mace.

From your training as an astrophysicist, you may recall that in our planetary system there orbits a super-planet by the name of Vespersa. For an age it’s been inaccessible due to dense solar clouds and magnetic storms that hazard any who might want to touch down there. Though, I will say that I find a kind of beauty in the dilations of gravity that pass across its exosphere like waves on a dark sea. And per our own astrophysicists, those solar clouds and magnetic fields will soon roll back like the tide, creating a window of accessibility to Vespersa’s surface.

What you may not know is that Vespersa, to my people, is holy ground. Our first ancestors began there, and the entirety of the planet is to us a cemetery, rich with the ruins and bones of our predecessors. You may also not know that Vespersa is rich with Chaos shards.

You see my trepidation, now then, don’t you? When that window of accessibility opens, every Chaos Broker and Agent from across the Firmament will descend on Vespersa to harvest its shards. The thought of it makes me want to crack a few skulls, myself.

I can’t allow it, Dusana. For my people Vespersa is a gift from the creator. We will mobilize against this unless something reasonable can be done. Which is why I call on you. You’ve a level head, and your own Clausian people take a pledge of balance and preservation in service of the Firmament, if my memory hasn’t gone soft.

So, I am calling in my favor. Please think on this and let me know what can be done.

Yours in battle,

Titus, Emeret Emissary
