Breaking:- Merchant City, Altareth: The Academy Board announced today that, after carefully reviewing all contract bids from interested parties, they have selected the Myakon Trade Union as a “priority supplier” for all of the Academy’s upcoming needs. Spokespeople for both entities refused to comment further on the details of the contract, however the Red Sun was able to track down a copy of the internal memo sent to all Myakon Trade Union members and employees.
The Red Sun’s Opinion: Brochures scattered in the streets show that the Chaos Broker Training Academy insists on simulation based training and testing for each student. The earliest students will be expected to complete a number of quests on the alpha simulator. Winning on the alpha simulator requires deft strategy around resources, skills and strategies during a “power up” stage. The actual battles will be AI-based, where “battle phase” stages alternate between “power up” stages. Future evolutions of the simulation and certainly the real battles ahead will also include geographic/terrain elements, race based advantages and equipment.
MEMO: Myakon Recruitment and Retention Initiative
TO: All current and prospective members of the Myakon Trade Union
Union Members: Now, more than ever, we must look to accelerate earnings on our raw goods trade, while also staying true to our union manifest. Due to our public declaration of good faith with the Padoccia Trade Union, we have been able to source enough shard rods to satisfy our current needs. Confidentially, this partnership was only a means to an end, and our internal stance regarding the Padoccia Trade Union and their new time-displacement technology remains unchanged. In order to impede Padoccia from flooding the market with shard rods, beyond what we deem appropriate, we are now making explosives available to all members. Any union member who successfully deploys an explosive inside the Padoccia’s labs will be richly rewarded. For those of you interested in a high stakes mission, report to me in Operations.
